Incredibly pretty.
Well, also because I liked the song. But yes, Azealia. Her eyes, her lips, her facial expressions.
With my definition of celebrity crushes, I actually keep having small celebrity crushes even at 46. It’s more that I admire someone when I see them. I wouldn’t do what I did as a teenager, then watch entire films just to admire someone. I’m a bit too old for that.

Right, I also had a Jewel Kilcher poster (which I thought was OK to have because I liked the music as well). First album period. Before her style changed more to glamourous. It was this song and the video to it that got me.
Altogether: Her style and her attitude. Wow.

And: I have always hated watching football and having female friends comment on which players they find attractive. But … I have to admit that when watching sports, me too, I secretly do pay attention to whom I find pretty … Perhaps that is normal. Anyway, it’s just a little “crush” during the game.

First of all, for me, per definition, “celebrity crush” means a person I find to be very attractive and I can’t stop watching because I find them very beautiful. I don’t mean an obsession. I never had that. Even as a teenager, I could only have that in real life. A real crush. Permanently thinking about someone. Celebrities were never “real” for me in that sense. And hey, as you will see, there are a lot that have fascinated me, more or less (whereas in real life, it hasn’t been very many). But always just when I was seeing them (or, with singers, also listening to them). So, that’s my definition of celebrity crush.
And Fiona Apple. Such a good artist. And: Her eyes…!
Those were all as a teenager.
I had seen this video on MTV Alternative Nation. Not only did I love the song and went to buy the album the next day, I also immediately was focused on Louise Post. I loved Nina as well, but it was Louise.
I have found myself not only liking her analysis and her charming ways but also finding her really attractive.

Why do I sweat so much after applying moisture or sun screen on my face? I have normal skin.
I do find this topic interesting, browsing through others’ posts. It really shows one thing: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is no general standard, really. It’s individual. And that’s quite nice, isn’t it?
And yeah, in more recent years, I still have this, when watching TV or music videos, that I then find someone super pretty and just enjoy watching them. Their faces, their facial expressions.

But well, that’s it from me. Yes, I am quite fascinated with female beauty. Mostly, it’s the eyes, definitely. The eyes and the face. But it’s even more fascinating when personality fascinates you as well. That’s the real deal. In real life. And on TV or in videos, you can just admire looks and personality. But there’s another aspect, I can also find someone physically attractive. In that respect, among other, I have a thing for plus-size women. And when thinking about it: How many famous actresses would classify as plus size? I cannot think of any right now. I am sure I would have had a crush on a plus-size actress. But there do not seem to be any. At least not a lot, for sure. Which is a bit unfair, I have to say. A bit discriminating. TV and films should show more plus size women.
Right, and a few years ago, I watched the Martha & The Muffins’ video “Echo Beach” and was really fascinated by the blonde keyboard player, Martha Ladly.

And, about a year ago, I saw an old Woody Allen film and saw Shelley Duvall for the first time. And I was amazed. How crazy beautiful that woman was. Her big eyes, the eyelid space (interesting thing to notice as attractive), her paleness (yes, one can like paleness!). Her vulnerable expression and in the next moment that glow, that spark.
Here it was just the music videos. “Not If You Were The Last Junkie on Earth”: You do not even see her that much, on keyboards and tambourine. But every time the video came on, I had to watch, I was waiting for those moments. Wow. It wasn’t more than that though, really.
